Artist biography

As an older actor I have a large amount of professional experience, from the RSC to Channel Four. This year I have a featured role in the new Cricket film '83 , due for release June 2021, directed by Kabir Khan starring Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone. I play a journalist (Gordon August) On stage, at the start 2020, I finished a run as Sir Toby Belch in Twelfth Night at the Brockley Jack and followed that with New Diorama's Yorkshire Ripper play The Incident Room playing the voices of various characters including reporter, BBC news reader and a heavy breathing hoax caller . The Stage picked it as one of the best shows at Edinburgh Fringe 2019 “Pete Picton, as watchable a Sir Toby Belch as you could find at any ticket price,” “Pete Picton impresses as Toby Belch” In April I finished a sell out run in King Lear as Kent at the Brockley Jack with the Yard Players (….deserving of high praise was Pete Picton as Kent. Prior to that, at the beginning of 2019, I was the lead in the immersive Secret Theatre's Project 2024 which had its sell out run extended for 8 weeks. I am currently appearing in the Feature film Jellyfish, (on general release now through Amazon, Sky,BT, itunes and others) as Clive (with Liv Hill) which was awarded best film at the Alice Nella Citta in Rome and has also won four awards at the Dinard Film Festival. I also play a Policeman in Incriminating Mary which has won several awards in the LA Independent Shorts Awards 2020. And I have featured scenes as a policeman One Night in '97 for Lakeside Pictures was selected for the 2019 Edinburgh Film Festival as part of the EIFF showcase and due for release in 2020.
