Joan is an inventive vocal chameleon; smoothly persuasive, crisply educational seductively charming - and more. She has warm, honeyed tones and an impressive array of accents and characters. Her work spans all performance media, most recently a globe trotting year as Tanya in Mamma Mia; a stint on the BBC Radio Drama Company (recent roles include The Queen in The King's Speech and Phyllis in Nightingale Wood) and an enjoyable time on Coronation Street as the understanding wife of a transvestite. Recent recordings include Beatrix Potter: Complete 24 Tales; Agatha Christie novels for Harper Collins; Science Education Series for Oxford University Press and numerous audioguides for galleries and exhibitions worldwide. She is the voice of the Pass Master for the award winning educational company, SmartPass, plus the recent winner of two Golden Earphones Awards. Recent radio and TV ad campaigns include: Brittany Ferries; Vision Laser; Specsavers (Spain); Homestore (France); Shangri La Hotel Group (Worldwide). In vision, you may spot her as the neon lemon headband wearer in the latest Voltarol ad!
