Brigid L - Voice Artist
Artist biography
Brigid is originally from the island of Tasmania in Australia, but now calls London home. She is a professional actor, examiner and voice artist. Her native accent is a naturally warm but subtle variation of her native Australian. However, having trained in the UK and worked here for over 20 years, she’s also often cast in projects that require more classically British tones.
Brigid has been an audiobook narrator for the last 16 years’. She began narrating with the RNIB and since then she has narrated for many different publishing houses and has a large collection of audiobooks on Audible. Genres include: Wholesome Romance, Contemporary Fiction, Historical Romance, Chick Lit, Erotic Romance, Mystery and Thrillers, Non Fiction, and Biographies. She is an award winner at the MLC awards 2020 for narration on the Audiobook The Waratah Inn by Lilly Mirren.
Alongside audiobooks Brigid has voiced Radio Dramas for Big Finish Productions, playing a huge variety of characters including; a sexy French ghost called Danielle Roget alongside Colin Baker in Dark Shadows: The House by the Sea; the Australian Dream Commando Wahn alongside Sylvester McCoy in Dr Who: Dreamtime; and the very English and very possessed Emma Finney in Dark Shadows: Beneath the Veil.
For several years she was a regular commentator for a Medieval Jousting Tournament at Camp Bestival, Lulworth Castle for Horses Impossible and for six months was a radio presenter for Meridian Radio on an Arts Based program.
